Where it is easy to breathe
Queenstown rests below the big snow-covered mountains by the lake Wakatipu. How I have missed the lakes and the forests, the mountains and the fresh air. It is lovely strolling along the lake, to later have the breakfast at Boatshed. It is our sunny, first morning on New Zealand. An it is easy to breathe.
“We wanderers, ever seeking the lonelier way, begin no day where we have ended another day; and no sunrise finds us where sunset left us. Even while the earth sleeps we travel. ”
Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
From the mountain Ben Lomond there is a stunning view over the city and the mountains. We waited for the afternoon to become evening. The lake got misty and the clouds gently touched the peaks on the other side of the lake. And from the slope of Ben Lomond, the brave people paraglided the whole way down to the city. For those who waited for the blue hour, though, the skyline was the clearly safest way down in the complete darkness.
Jag (åter)upptäckte blå timman bara förra veckan! Allt utomhus blev blått, lugnt och lite vemodigt men med styrka i sig. Mamma berättade om konceptet med blå timma och jag tänkte att här kan man kanske bo ändå...
