A tea-party in the mist

"At any rate I'll never go there again!" said Alice as she picked her way through the wood. "It's the stupidest tea-party I ever was at in all my life!"

And I might have thought to myself, quite a few times; What are we really doing? Why on earth is our guide swimming down this sacred place with a bouquet of balloons? And why did I leave my torch up there, to be able to carry an umbrella down? Wasn't that a somehow non-clever priority?

Well, the only reasonable explanation is that we were going for a tea-party. Or maybe arranging one? That wasn’t fully clear. Nevertheless, a bunch of balloons and a colourful umbrella truly made it feel like a tea-party. As if we were ready to deck the tree branch with a checked picknick cloth in a perfect size for sipping tea and eating cake on the finest china anyone can find.

But no one can drink tea forever, so we left the party and went flying in the mist. I mean really flying. As if the toes are touching the clouds and it feels effortless to be. And everything is a little upside down, when you, at the same time as you are flying, feel as if you are sinking through the clouds deeper and deeper and just hope a little that someone will come and get you if you sink too far down. "I keep my eyes on you, I won't let you disappear", the White Rabbit said and the Madhatter could go on taking photos with flashing strobes and lively gestures, while Alice continued flying in the mist, quite embarrassed with all the attention. And we had so much fun down there in our misty Wonderland, hoping that the pics would turn out delightfully.

"Either it brings tears to their eyes, or else -"
"Or else what?" said Alice, for the Knight had made a sudden pause.
"Or else it doesn't, you know."
